Everyone can take action to prepare! Everyone is able to help first responders in the community by training how to respond during an emergency and what to do when disaster strikes — where you live, work, and visit. Lancaster County Emergency Services has a goal to increase the overall number of individuals, families, and communities that engage in preparedness actions at home, work, businesses, school, and places of worship.
You can learn how to build an emergency kit for your home, office, or vehicle. You can make a plan for your family in the event of an emergency or disaster. You can even get involved in the different community organizations and get training on how to help others.
And don’t forget to stay informed! Conditions change every day so make sure to follow Lancaster County Emergency Services on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram for the most updated information on any current hazards and other preparedness information.
