Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad
The primary purpose of the squad is to provide emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured.

- Transport patients in an efficient timely manner to the closest hospital facility.

- Provide Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support medical treatment to all patients as deemed necessary by VA Office of EMS regulations and PEMS Protocols.
- Answer all calls for assistance from the 911 Emergency Dispatch System.
KLVRS is a volunteer organization that answers emergency calls and is not a medical transport service. The squad services lower Lancaster County and lower parts of Northumberland County, and also answers mutual aid calls for assistance from Lancaster County and all surrounding counties. The squad operates in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding emergency medical services.
