The Lancaster County CERT program is planning a new CERT Basic Academy for this fall. We have scheduled two orientations: Sept 7, 2017 at 6:30 PM at Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Sept 9, 2017 at 9:30 AM Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department.
The CERT Basic Academy is a 20 hour program, after which, participants will have learned about disaster preparedness, fire safety, medical triage and basic medical care, light search and rescue, damage assessment, disaster psychology and terrorism awareness. Those who complete the training and join the Lancaster CERT are issued equipment to allow members to assist in an emergency.
